Famous Athletes Started Out Just Like UsThey learned to play on public courts without expensive coaches.
Racquet sports are still a lot of fun for those of us who don't aspire to play professionally. Our program makes it easy and inexpensive. We are there for you whether your goal is to be competitive, recreational, social, or healthy. |
Our ApproachThe US Tennis Association (USTA) realized that tennis was difficult to learn the way it was taught years ago. The popular approach was to hand a racquet to a new person and tell them to start hitting a ball back and forth over the net. It was very frustrating and many people quit. USTA brought experts together to identify a better way. The result is the American Development Model (ADM). It involves smaller, easier to learn skills that build upon each other and lead to hitting the ball over the net.
Our coach, certified through USTA and PTR, follows the ADM for teaching. We continue to be amazed by how much faster students learn to play and have fun when taught this way. |
Our Lesson Schedule
How to Prepare and What to Expect
- You need basic gym shoes that provide the right kind of support. Tennis and pickleball involve a lot of starting, stopping, and side-to-side movement. Running shoes emphasize cushioning for the repeated pounding, but not racquet sport moves.
- You are responsible for printing our conduct policy and release form, reviewing it, signing it, and bringing it to your first lesson.
- We will provide the right beginner racquets and balls to use during your lessons. Once you realize that you want to continue practicing and playing outside of lessons, we can help guide you to the correct size racquet that is reasonably priced.
- We expect you to show up on time for your lesson or contact us in advance to say you won't be attending or will be late. We expect you to be respectful of the coaches and the other students.
- Lessons, loaner racquets, balls, and court time are FREE.
